Plan a Field Trip

• Your students have studied history; now they can DO history. Our experiences bring Indiana’s stories to life. A visit to the History Center in downtown Indianapolis includes admission to all exhibits in the Indiana Experience.
• In-person visits of groups of 50 or fewer can be accommodated at this time.
• Groups will rotate through the available exhibits for about 15 minutes per space, depending on group sizes. The Indiana Experience takes 90-120 minutes on average to complete.
• Guests are encouraged to complete the Field Trip Experience Guide Booklet to guide learning as you explore the Indiana Experience. The Experience Guidebooks are designed for grades 3-8, and 8-12 with a mix of look & find questions as well as reflection & discussion-based questions.
• One chaperone per 10 students is required and attends free of charge. Additional chaperones will pay $13 for admission.
• Indiana Experience group admission is $5 per student. Title I schools always receive free admission.
• All experiences meet Indiana Academic Standards in Social Studies and other subjects.
